Associate Degree in Physics

Introduction

Associate Degree in Science (physics) is a two-year undergraduate program that focuses on the theory and experiments based on the fundamentals of physics. Duration of the program is divided into four semesters; providing a core foundation in physics and giving you a head start on your physics educational journey.

Objectives

  • Develop critical skills necessary for solving unknown problems from our physical surroundings
  • Demonstrate the competency of knowledge on the most basic laws of physics and challenge the existing theories and quantitative models, refine and develop new models through observations and experiments.
  • Enhance our students’ skills in scientific communication and the ability to clearly present physics and science in simple and clear language.
  • Analyze magnetism, dynamics, heat, atomic and nuclear physics, sound, and other physical phenomena.
  • Instill in students the habit of independent thinking, deep inquiry, and motivation for self-education.
  • Introduce to students the spirit of working in interactive groups with the necessary requirements of scientific and professional ethics.

Career Path

The advantageous thing about studying physics is that you can pursue a career in diverse range of fields. Physics has wide range of applications in the practical field of many disciplines. After completing associate degree in science (physics), graduates have the scope of getting jobs in both the private and public sectors.

They can work in industries such as
  • Teaching
  • Research Associate.
