Introduction

ADP-Zoology is a 2-year/4-semester academic program taken at undergraduate level. It is multidisciplinary program consisting of various disciplines such as Genetics, Physiology, Ecology, Developmental Biology, Paleontology, Entomology, Evolution, Taxonomy, Fisheries and Wildlife etc. It also provides knowledge of applied subjects to develop various skills to make a career and become an entrepreneur in the field of aquatic biology, sericulture, apiculture etc.

Objectives

  1. To impart knowledge about the major disciplines of Zoology for advanced studies and specialization on recently emerging multidisciplinary fields such as Genetic Engineering, Biodiversity, Environmental Science, Wildlife and conservation, Fisheries and aquaculture etc.
  2. To enable the students to efficiently apply the acquired knowledge to their respective field effectively.
  3. To equip students with practical and theoretical skills for better planning and management of animal resources, environment, health, medicine, agriculture and population in the country.
